Hey HVX Shooting Friends,

I have been playing with export settings (Compresser and Quicktime Conversion) in FCP 5 and wanted some expert advice. I shot a music video on 720 24PN and am cutting it in 720 DVC-PRO HD. Obviously I want to keep the same aspect ratio (16:9) and would like it about 400 pixels wide for my web page. The H264 codec was super grainy, pixilated and washed out. It came to 7 MB for a 3 ½ minute video which is fine other than it looked like complete garbage.

I’m also going to be posting it on YouTube so any suggestions on how to optimize it for Youtube would be awesome as well.

Thanks and looking forward to your thoughts,

Aaron
