I just rendered off a .mov file with quicktime and I also have no audio.
I think it may be that I have a codec missing.
I have a mp4 version but it looks worse.

In fact quicktime does not recognize the audio at all in the uncompressed avi rendered with vegas.
So maybe it's in the way the audio was rendered through Vegas.

It's got to be the audio compression out of Vegas, I think. I've exported to a h.264 .mov file using uncompressed audio and it played fine. Or maybe it's the version of Vegas? I'm using 6 and it seems to be okay.

I changed the Vegas Render audio settings from PCM to IEEE float (uncompressed) and rendered the avi. It now runs fine in QT. I ran off a quick h.264 and the sound is there now.

Hope that works for Mike as well.

/update: It appears that does not work after all. I can render from Vegas up to 1.5 min and it plays in QT okay but when I render the entire 6 min and try it in QT...no audio.
So, I still have the mp4.
