Hi Everyone

I wanted to pass along a really beautiful commercial shot with the Redrock M2 + JVC HD100 camera. It was shot by Michal Gutowski in Poland, who has a very distinctive style.

There is also some good discussion of setup/recipes in our theatre forum at Redrock:

For a minute, I thought you shot this with the JVC HD1. I thought the HD100 was an updated version. obviously it's not. Nice camera btw.

bball, I was looking for the right term for DOF. I was trying to explain that to a friend. bokeh is what I was looking for. Im guessing you use a very expensive adapter to get that kind of film effect.

I have been looking at the JVC ProHD range and im seriously thinking of getting one.

The HD100? Or the M2? I own the HD100 and after coming from the DVX (which I still use from time to time) the ergonomics and latitude are two of my favorite things about it. I can get rock solid shoulder held work from it and the image is incredibly tweakable in camera- although i tend to shoot flat using True Colors 3 by Paolo Ciccone. Im selling my rig at dvinfo.net if you're interested for a very good price. pm if you're interested.

Nice spot. Looks great.
Then again, everything's cooler in another language.

The HD100 is really a great camera, and doesn't get the kind of credit it deserves.

Also, the HD200 series cameras are a solid step-up (in image quality and price too) having 14 bit a/d converters which translates to better lowlight performance as well
