So, I have the HVX200, am loving it so far, and am doing a corp documentary. I shot the whole thing at 720pn at 24fps. I'm editing it in Final cut, and it's looking great. So, how do I deliver this thing? If I out put to HDCam, is the 720 too small for the 1080i of HDCam? Will it look really blurry? If I have someone make Bluerays of the final project, again, is 720 too small? I jumped into this project with the 720pn, liking the image quality and the drive space efficiency, but I really didn't think about the end result.

What are all of you 720pn people delivering on? SD DVD? What's the point?

Thank you,

shaun

Where to?

You uprez to 1080i.
Will it look really blurry?
NO it's done all the time and looks fine.
If I have someone make Bluerays of the final project, again, is 720 too small?
No.

Well that was pretty foolish.

What are all of you 720pn people delivering on?
Many different formats.

SD DVD? What's the point?
That would be like asking why bother shooting a TV show on 35mm if it's just ending up on a SD broadcast.
Acquisition formats are usually based on budget, desired look and availabilty of equipment. The delivery can be any number of formats. However it is essential to have a post workflow planned out prior to starting your projects. It will save you time and money in the long run.
