There is a knob in the back and when I spin it it gives options for 24p, 30p, cine, but no 60i.
Is 60i under another name or does something else have to be done?
Thank you for any help.

I dont believe the camera specifies that. If it is not 24p or 30p, it is default at 60i. If you go into the menu, scene file, then go to the second page. If it is not set to progressive, you are in 60i.

newbie question..
Im shooting with a Canon GL2...I assume Im shooting in 60I right? If I get a DVX I want to match the GL2 for wedding shoots but use progressive for other more creative videos.

Im currently shooting with a Canon GL2....I assume Im shooting in 60I mode correct? Should I opt to get the DVX, I want to be able to match the GL2 video for wedding shoots, and use the progressive mode for more creative video.

The DVX will easily outpreform your GL2 in picture even in 60i. However not so much that you couldn't get away with mixing footage.
