Hello,

I've been shooting w/ the FS-100(V3.0)mostly 720->QuicktimePN, lots of time-lapse, some w/ frame rate hack, etc So far so good.
There doesn't seem to be a lot of info on shoting 1080i/24P to firestore. I assume I can go to Quicktime on the FS(and if someone could please confirm this), cannot use Quicktime PN)and obviously use the P2 setting.
Perhaps soon the FS will be able to record native 1080/24?
Once I have my quicktime, how do I remove the extra frames? (easy setup/timeline settings?)

Thanks and best regards,

Yeah, that'll work. The quicktime and quicktime pn firestore modes seem to work interchangably with 1080 stuff with no difference. Just make sure your camera is set to 24pa instead of 24p for less work in post and theoretically better looking results. If you've got Final Cut Pro it will automaticaly remove the extra frames from 24pa stuff- I don't know anything about other software.

Well, after testing I think that when shooting 1080/24, going to P2 on the FS-100 might be a better idea, having the otion on the import window to remove pulldown-
Shooting 720 I prefer Qt N or QT.

Thanks,
