Problems with Microsoft Vista and P2

I just bought this new laptop with all the goodies to handle p2. Here is the problem; vista is rejecting the p2 viewer, p2 drivers, and anything to do with p2. Why does is vista making things complicated. I just installed both setup files to my 4 year old XP desktop setup and it worked perfect...not for vista...and you would think new technology would ease my pain...

Are these the P2 drivers and P2 Viewer from the CD that came with the camera, or the updated versions from the Panasonic website?

I don't have the cd's with me...so i looked around the net for the latest drivers.

I get a successful install, but when i reboot....vista denies the install and makes me go back in time to before the install was made...and this happens every time.

I really need the PC slot to work on my laptop...


Are there other drivers that i can use that my laptop will recognize the mass storage drive?
