Hi all

The other night, I was shopping at a Big Lots store. I noticed they had a little 7 inch LCD TV with a built in tuner for sale at 80 bucks. They had a DVD with a cartoon playing on it. I started playing with the TV when I noticed two things, it was less than a pound, and 2 it would flip, and flip/invert my image with a push of a button. Instantly I started thinking of reasons I could use this TV. Tlelprompters and yes, to flip and invert my Image when I buy a Brevis or Redrock adapter. I checked the return policy and verified I could return this if I was not happy.

I was not happy, but mainly because of the image quality, It was very poor. The Gamma on the thing was out of control no matter how much I toyed with the brite/contrast buttons. For the record, I know that if I were to take this to a tech, they could probably tweak it for me and squeeze a better picture out of it. Personally, I have ruined 2 other LCD's trying to make adjustments and have learned my lesson and realized my potential. My wife gleefully assisted me in that realization......and continues to do so.

However, I thought I would mention the Flip/Inverting abilities. If you care more about framing than quality, this is a perfect cheap solution to those of you looking for a reference monitor to use with your 35mm adapters. Not to mention it works great as a teleprompter screen. It is very lightweight, maybe less than a half pound. It runs off 12 volts or comes with a AAA adapter case. It could easily be adapted to fit on a camera shoe adapter without straining the camera or shoe mount.

The Brand name is a Curtis. I can find a model number if anyone is interested.

PS. Safe Harbor, www.Sharber.com (http://www.Sharber.com) is selling Serious Magic's DVRackHD 2.0 for 199 bucks. The full version!. I just got mine yesterday. It also has adobe's name on the box. It does not come with an HD manual, rather the DVRack SD manual. That part is rather frustrating. If anyone knows where I can find the HD2 manual, I would be eternally greatful.
