What is the best choice for capturing footage from my P2 cards to Vegas? Raylight? p2 Store?

Well...its not about what's the best..its about what your tastes are.

To save space on the P2 card but still have HD, people shoot in 720pN.

and you'd just have to copy your footage to your hard drive and convert the MXF file through Raylight to .avi or whatever file you prefer..

If using Vegas with an HVX, Raylight is a must-have. You can't use HVX footage in Vegas without it (or without using some conversion tool such as CineForm).

As to how you get the footage onto the timeline, with Raylight you can edit straight from the cards or from a hard disk, so however you choose to get the footage to your computer is up to you.
