Hvx "pal" footage wont play?

Ok so I am editing with mainly footage from an HVX200, not the pal version. the footage is all logged and plays fine in quicktime or in final cut, no problem. Now I am getting some footage from a finnish camera which was the Pal version the footage was recorded DVCPRO HD 720p50, I can't see a reason why it would be any diffrent, but this footage will not play on the computer. I am getting the white screen in quicktime which is what you get when you dont have final cut installed or qt pro and try to play back dvcpro HD footage or any type of video footage that you dont have the codec for. I'm getting the same thing in final cut too which is kinda weird. Is there a codec to download to handle this footage? something?

Do you have FCP 5.1.2 or later? I think that was the first version to properly support PAL DVCProHD.
