I just saw this camera (HD7) in person yesterday and from the looks of its specs, it sounds to be a much better camera then the beloved DVX100 or Canon Xl2!

If this camera is as good as it is being presented, i might sell my XL2 and buy that camera. Here is what i hear it can do....

*60GB Hard Drive worth of recording 5hrs of full HD 1080p..yes p!
*Native 30p frame rate
*3CCD Progressive Scan Chips
*Full manual control (Shutter, F-Stop, Etc)
*Price 1,400 at B&H

So, is this camera worth getting over my current XL2, let me know, this camera sounds very interesting.:dankk2:

This was already discussed here

but the rundown is that the HD7 CCD is ony 1/5'' without 24p and I don't see mention of native 30p. No way this beats a DVX or XL2

I love the idea behind this camera but people are saying the quality is lacking. JVC should stick with their brand of HDV, 1/3 chips and then make camera's like this. 60gb would hold a lot of HDV.
