I want to film in 24fps but in Australia we use PAL. The instructions of the XD CAM F350 say that it is only possible to film 24fps using NTSC. Is there a way to get around this? Should I film in NTSC and then convert to PAL? Thanks

Lot's of stuff shot down here at 24fps, a 4% speedup give you PAL's 25fps and from 24fps you add pulldown to get NTSC. If you're shooting HD then the resolution is the same, there's no longer NTSC or PAL just 25fps or 30fps

If your video will be shown on TV (if not, the tv system would not matter...) it will be 25 fps anyway, so why not shoot at PAL 25 ???? No hassle, no speed difference.
