Hi there guys,
Our small business has used the DVX100's (we had 2) ever since they came out, and they're great.
We're just going to go for a HVX and later a Red camera (when they finally become available)
We have in the past used Helicopters for filming across the mountains here in New Zealand but as we speed up the footage, it becomes too shaky. Helicopters aren't really the best for this.
We're moving to a Cessna 172 (4 seater) to film from and just wondered if anyone else has done something similar. You can check out this cool home made rig here:-

I haven't done much research as yet into the whole 1080p (which is a 2:2 pull-down) that the HVX-202 does and I wanted to know whether it is possible to capture directly to a hard drive on a laptop?
My Lappy has about 1600 pixels across, can I use it as a monitor? What software should I use to capture.
One of the biggest problems is of course that I can't change cards mid-flight and I'll be in the air for 2 hours or so. What sort of gb per minute can I count on?
Anything else that you may know of to help get me up to speed would be beneficial. The camera is going to be out on the wing.
Cheers
