I haven't posted here in quite some time. You know how it goes. Wife. Job. House. Stuff...somewhere in there ( those of you in similar postions know what I'm talking about) I managed to finish my short and design a website to promote it.
My biggest decision now is to figure out the presentation of the clip on the "media" page.
I'm still determining if it's better to go with a higher rez file and have people wait for download or use a more compressed, lower quality file and have it stream immediately.
As of now it is lower quality and streams immediately. Sort of like YouTube?
Also still ironing out wrinkles within the site itself.
It is optimized for Mac's and PC's running updated browsers. Except for IE which is still wonky.
Check it out at:

Forget about Youtube and all that crap, use DivX or Brightcove if you want a third party to stream for you, if not encode with Flash video.

How big is the file you want to stream for users to watch?

I designed the webpage myself but had someone else program it for me. The whole thing has a been a bone of contention with me lately as I am finding out my programmer did not make it compatible with older versions of Internet Explorer so some people are experiencing great difficulty with the site. Ah, well...you live and learn. It views/functions great on Mac's..too bad the majority have PC's.:crybaby:

Aragon: Thanks for those options.:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG) I want the file to be decent sized, I guess enough for someone to view it and be able to appreciate it. No stuttery 15 frames a second.
I'm trying to come up with a solution now.
