Didn't know it was on tonight. I'll look for it. Been watching Hoya for a couple years or more. One my favorites.
/found it. Moors on right now. I expect Hoya to be the feature fight. I'm hoping, so I have not missed it.

That pretty much sums it up. Good fight, though.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Why the hell didn't he throw his jab? It was the perfect set up to his devastating left hook! It's his bread-and-butter shot for crying out loud!

Still, it was a pretty good fight. I scored it a draw, 6-6. Could have gone either way.

I hate Mayweather so much. Too damn arrogant. He says he's going to retire tonight, at age 30, undefeated with 38 fights. Yeah right. I eagerly await the day that Sugar Shane Mosley puts the smackdown on his a$$. If anyone can do it, Sugar Shane can.

I hope Oscar De La Hoya doesn't retire. My dad and I have been watching him since the early 90's and I've always considered my self a fan.

That second undercard fight blew.

And I agree, Oscar in his prime would have taken Mayweather apart.

Lets see as the only one who clearly stated that he (Mayweather) would win I should probably be the bigger man and not rub it in.

BUT I am a Mayweather fan so as the commentator said "Cinco de mayo should be renamed MAYweather."

OHHHHHHH WHAT WHAT WHAT! I told you! I saw so many people lose their money today. They were all betting with their hearts not there minds.
I TOLD YOU I TOLD YOU!!!!

The 30 minute drive was worth it to go see it.

Okay now that it is out of my system Oscar lost this fight the moment he stopped jabbing. What happened? I was thinking damn it Oscar thinks he is Rocky and keeps jabbing, but then he stopped and floyd stuck to the script.

It just goes to show Nice guys finish last. Oh and GOLDEN BOYS!!!!!

HAHAHAHAAAAAAAA.

lol @ de la hoya, 55 bucks down the drain btw, but no biggie, it was worth it to watch him lose.

I'm also a oscar fan, always liked the guy and was voting for him tonight and was almost sure he would win. I knew mayweather was quicker, and de la hoya had more strength and experience..but I guess quickness and accuracy takes it.

(Sigh)

This is the "mega event" that was supposed to "save" boxing?!? Neither one of those guys had a mark on their faces at the end of the fight.

It's crap like this that makes me want to give up being a fan of boxing and turn to MMA. And the blame doesn't rest soley on Hoya, who pressed the action and moved forward throwing punches the entire fight. I thought he won. I can't score the fight for a guy who runs around, potshots then holds on for the entire night.

$54.95 for three (well two) lousy fights. Overhyped and overpriced.

I'm gonna have to agree with ya... well said, and me and the guys were saying the exact same thing right after the fight.

Waste of money (although I'm sure we'll do it all over again next time)

No way did Oscar win that fight. Did hear the commentators, look at the stats ,and hear the judges. Oscar got lost. He put on a decent show but lost.

Filmmaker I drove to camarillo from Reseda. Didn't know you were close. :) Did anyone watch the 24/7 HBO tv show? That was a great mini series! Shot part on HVX I hear.
