Schedule permitting, I would consider joining you guys for shop talk. I'm just 90 minutes to the east, in Springdale, AR.

Anyone interested in doing the next DVXuser fest? I figure if we start organizing now, maybe we'd be ready to do something when its announced. Post here if your interested - maybe list what equipment you own and what you have access to that could be useful? Between a few of us we probably have a pretty complete kit perhaps.

I know a friend here in Springfield is doing the next DVXuser fest...

As per projects... one here hopefully... a script I've co-written with a guy from my old California writers group...

Might be going back to California to work on a feature that's in trouble... finish the shoot and take it through post... have to really learn the workflow... they shot 70% of the film so far with the Viper... and will still shoot the rest with the Viper... have to pick a whole new crew and dp...

Not sure because of the delays in that film if we'll do another horror film at the end of the year... with the same director of the above film...

Plus just got a script last night from a person who wants to make a horror short... an actor singer... who wants to direct... funding it himself... then going to shop it around to see who will fund the whole film... but no naming dropping until we get everything lined up...

Working on the budget for that over the weekend... have to always play the numbers game...

I'm a newbie with only one 5 minute short on a DVX. However, I would be interested in coming on a weekend. I'm in Joplin.

Ok Im going to try to start this up again, I want to maybe have a meeting in Tulsa this October say around OCTOBER 6th

Meeting to include:
Talk of projects we are all in
Any help we can give each other on projects
Listing of abilities by ourselves - who can do what
OPEN TO MORE OPTIONS

basicly I want to get this started becasue I have projects to that I want help on and I'm willing to help other people on there projects as well, if we as Directors can band together and get all of our projects further along - the beter, if we each share and help each other we may accomplish more.

I have since sold my DVX100 for an HVX200 but the princicples are the same.

Please contact me directly at scott@kainemedia.com becasue apparently I'm not getting emails when people post and my junk mail fileter is brutal.

I currently have a vampire short film that I am desparaelty trying to finish and I can't get actors or locations, how about anyone else, having probelsm as well? We could form like a "league of extrodinary gentleman" of something - who the hell knows. Contact me and lets get started, I'm sure you guys want to finish your shit as much as I do.

I just purchased an hvx200 and live in Okc. up till now I have done mostly gaffer/Grip roles on shorts but have done my share of camera work on student projects for classes. I know a fair amount of crew that are often available. we just finished one 30 min short and are half through the next. apart from the camera I also have a small assortment of lights and other equip. If anyone needs help on any projects let me know. did you guys ever meet up in oct.?

Hey guys, I am moving from Hollywood to Enid in less than a week. It will be just for a few months, but if there is a get together while I'm there, I'm up for it.

And just cause it will probably be asked, no, I'm not from there - born and raised in LA, I just need to get out of the town for a while.

This also brings up another question... is it bright and sunny like in LA all year?

Wow that must have been when you were a kid way back in '35... when the dust bowl happen... and know that wasn't the game on New Years Day that they got rid of...
