Why not an SGpro.... its cheaper and has Equal if not better ( IMO before you guys go crazy) performance.

yea its not too well known, but i think its the best there is. They are made by hand, by wayne kinney in England.

Sorry, I like the SGPro a lot, but the Brevis makes the most sense for the HV20...strictly from a form factore POV. It's as small and convenient as these adapters get, and it's quite good.

This already looks bazooka-like : http://www.dvxuser6.com/uploaded/10380/1175240235.jpg

The SGPro would be a bulkier solution, but it is a very good adapter. I think the HV20 with a Brevis already looks ridiculous--the M2, and SGPro just make it that much worse.

I am a M2 owner do or die, but I gotta say I do like the fact that the Brevis lets in alot more light. I don't regret my M2, because it is really sweet, but the light factor is a big deal.

Thanks for the kind words, Timur. Would just like to add that the parts are all CNC machined from aluminium by an external machine shop. They are then assembled.

I have a few recent customers with a HV20, so hopefully footage soon!

I'm a big supporter of the M2!

I think the M2 is a great adaptor (had one), and I heard good things about the SGPro...but the Brevis has many more advantages.
Set up time, weight (the M2 is very haevy), the fact that cinevate offers different ground glasses, kind of being able to use different film stocks... And have the least light loss of any adaptors... Can't really beat that... As well as giving you a great picture.

Is it true that the Brevis looses less light?

it depends on which GG screen you use. the really thin one, loses the least light but its performance other wise, isnt as nice as the more lossy one. the lossy one, has GREAT bokeh, and a really crisp sharp image.
