I prepared a programme on one machine. All clips on two eyxtrenal drives. Programme on one of them.
Moved to another machine that has more internal drives (C-F instead C-D) and now all external drives are pushed lower in name/path (G=H, H=I etc) on that machine.
Edius asks me to install ALL files new. Hundreds of mxf files. Is there a way tio simply tell Edius that the path has changed. It seems not to understand when change the path for one, that all from the same location are meant.
That is feature that all my otherprogrammes have had forever (AfterFX, Liquid).

This is bad. I had to re-import them all.

In Liquid for example I only say "Verify Bin" and point to one file in a new drive if needed and then Liquid will see all the others.

I am currently writing a feature wishlist....one more to add ;-)

If you tell Edius to relink from a folder it will go trough that folder to match everything that is missing in the project. Just as you want. I have done that many times.

Do it like this: 1 Open the project Restoration widow opens. 2 Shift select all clips 3 go to the first one Select restoration method click folder 4 Browse to folder Click ok 5Watch Edius magic relinking all files.

Ok, that works. The trick is to select all that belong to the same folder.

Now I had importedthe P2 folders with "Open Folder" to keep the structure that I created in the field. So the problem is you have to do the above procedure for every folder in the ProjectX. Audio, Icon, VOICE, Video, Proxy.....every folder.
Edius should be able to be pointed at the top-folder "ProjectX" and then search through the lower ones, but it seems not to do so. If I select all clips in a project and then point one file at its folder (e.g. an audio-mxf in the ADIO folder) then it wonīt see the others in VIDEO, PROXY, ICON etc.

Since I have 15 P2 folders in this projectX it would have been some time. I re-imported already and thankfully the timeline was not very complex yet, but otherwsie this would have caused some trouble for me.

Aaaah....now I found it: I can just point at the higher directory and Edius still finds the clips and files lower down.
I tried to point lower and hope he founds the dirs in the same level.
Well workaround found. Great, thanks.
