Guys and gals,
Videomaker is looking for a few people in the Los Angeles area for work. Here's the message from my Managing Editor, Jennifer O'Rourke:
Videomaker is conducting a 2-day Summit in Los Angeles at the end of April, and we are still in need of a couple lectors and workshop instructors to finish out our instructor pool.
The event will be held at UCLA on April 28th and 29th, and we currently need a lector for the one-hour seminar "Making Music Videos", which is on Sunday at 9:00am - 10:15 am. This is a seminar following a PowerPoint like outline that we've created here at Videomaker.
We also have extended our "Basic Editing Workshop" into two groups, and I need to assign an instructor for that one as well, which is a full day workshop teaching the basics of editing, also following a PowerPoint-like slideshow outline, but it includes some interactive hands-on work with the attendees. This class in limited to less than 15 attendees. It runs on Saturday, from 9:00am to 3:45 pm, with a one hour lunch break and two 15 minute mid-session breaks. You must have a working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro.
We don't use PowerPoint, actually, the slideshows are placed in the menu of a DVD, and you toggle easily through them without hassle. Any video embedded in your lecture would easily be available on specific menu pages. You can find out more about the workshop, seminars, and the Summit by going to our web site and look up events or West Coast Summit:

Thanks again,
Jennifer
