I've found references to Nizo super8 cameras elsewhere in this forum, but nothing specific about the 6080 regarding any problems.

You guys know of any major concerns with the Nizo 6080 super8 camera?

Thanks--

Kyle

The Nizo 6080 camera is considered a high end camera and is very quiet so one can actually shoot dialogue.

Two issues that come up, these cameras seem to favor either Alkaline or NiCads, but not necessarly both. Check the handle, sometimes it will hae a lable that states exactly what type of battery and voltage to use.

Eventually the belts fail (the belt helps keep the camera quiet, so it's good news, bad news that they use belts). I don't know how easy it is to have the belts replaced, Spectra Film and Video might know more about that aspect.

I just purchased my first 6080 from an ex Super 8 buff. At first, we couldn't get it to work, but after fumbling with the brand new batteries, it started up--the quietest super 8 cam I've ever owned
