It's a little after 1 in the morning Monday night. I just made the drive back from Vegas so I could get some sleep before my call time tomorrow. I wish I had time to talk about all the cool things I saw (in only one day, unfortunately) but for now all I'll cheer about is:
-The guys at the Abel Cine Booth were the nicest and most informative people I ran into.
-Although small, the Cinebags booth was full of good show deals and good products, also with very nice guys.
-Final Cut is amazing, even without MXF.
-LASTLY! I checked out B&H and AbelCine's show deals for the HVX and saw that they were both offering the camera at only $4995 (for the show price ONLY). I expected Samy's to be the same, but to my surprise saw they were selling the HVX for $4695! I felt bad because I had been so impressed by the AbelCine guys and wanted to get the camera from them, but $300 is $300. So, I plunked down the cash and got the first camera I've ever owned.
I am very excited.
