To all,
I just bought a Nikon D70s. I brought it home and and noticed a small rattling noise on the left side of the camera body. I took the lens off to make sure that wasn't it. Then I did some research and what I found was something about the portrait stabilizer (that is what some people where saying). So I was just wondering if there was anyone who has heard or can check if you can hear it on any models of Nikons. Thanks.

When I first got my D70 I heard a rattle coming from the pentaprism area. It was my first digital SLR, so I showed it to a friend who had 2 D70's. He told me something was wrong... until he took out his own cameras and shook them. The rattle was present in his cams as well; he had just never noticed it.

Then we did some research and found, as you did, it is normal. Don't worry.

Is this another, "What's that clunk?" thread...

No not really. I just care about my equipment and I was just seeing if anybody else was experiencing the same thing. Thanks for asking though.

I don't think he was digging on you, just referencing the clunk new DVX users experience.
