The woman, something about it that I enjoy, but at the same time it feels... boring. I guess it's the texture of the rocks, the shadows and darkness, and her position are all very interesting, but maybe it's the framing that's the problem. Maybe if it were her entired body, not cutting off the feet, and just a longer shot (like if you were furthur from the subject and maybe cut the sides a bit)

The butterflies. Interesting shot. Never been a fan of nature shots though. Dunno why. But I like it. I like the capture of the two butterflies, nice framing and composition. Just why black and white? Does it look better than in color? To me it looks like a shot meant for colour, but I guess I can't judge. I just prefer more "dark" or "urban" images to be B&W. But it's a preferance.

Crocadile! Dude I love this photo! Nothing wrong with it. Great composition, great framing. I love the slight curve of the gator to the slight curve of the trunk, as well as the use of DoF. The colours are really nice. Works very well.

The otters. Nice. Good use of negative space. Interesting choice of colors. Seems to work. I wonder how it would look with a bit of original colour though?

The guy. So so. Nothing special IMO. I mean the lighting works, and if I wanted a photo of myself, it would be like that. But looks more like a headshot than anything. But was there a filter used? Don't know much about filters, but something with the light?

The sea horse. Hehe, cute. I like the shot. Maybe could have been framed better though. I love the colours though.

Butterfly. Very nice, very simple, great framing, nice job.

Nice photos dude.

I really like the idea of the last butterfly pic but I wish it was executed better technically and maybe closed the aperture a little.
are these film, scanned or fake noise?

Okay, sorry it took so long to reply. I had a busy week and weekend.

Nice photos dude.

John, thanks for the feedback. This is great. The picture of Ammelia is good, but as you said the composistion was compromised. When I got further back I wasn't getting the shallow focus that I wanted and it still isn't very shallow.

The photo of the two butterflies, to my eyes, does indeed look better black and white. The original photo doesn't look much like the B&W one you see. It's color, but very contrasty and just yeck...

I think the gator photo is one of my favorites.

The otters photo IS my favorite.

The photo of the guy is actually my brother. It was the last frame on the roll, we just tried to do something with it. It is a little humdrum, but I think it's a good portrait. No filter was used, I just had my bare 1.8 lens. Some may disagree, but I really like the bokeh of this lens. It gives it an added texture.

What is wrong with the crop of the seahorse?

I like the simplicity of the single butterfly shot.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean here. Care to enlighten me???
