In the FAQ link, there's actually something about AVC HD. :shocked: Could this be a mistaken leak?

i think that canon is portraying AVCHD and HDD based cameras in a negative light. too expensive and not as convenient as a tape in some situations...
it's code for - tape based cameras, like the HV20, are much better! buy our camera.

They don't even want to talk about AVCHD to DVD. Cheap, removable and Direct-To-Archive.
