Do i need to insert a P2 card when I am shooting with Hard drive?

still not sure if a p2 card is still needed to open the 720 or 1080i function , if i have my fire strom H.D hook up?

what about when p2 card fulled ? will i still be able to shoot ?

youll be fine because the signal comes from the firewire cable which is always sending out the video/audio data.

The FireStore FS-100 can be used without having any P2 cards.

have u guys heard another HardDrive call " CitiDisk"? can it also run with out any p2 Cards? its much cheaper then the FireStore.

Do a search here on CitiDisk. You will not find very nice things about it. I will be meeting with them at NAB since they claim to have imporived the product. Right now, I would say the old motto "you get what you pay for" is the appropriate response.
