I thought you might appreciate this, recently one of the Power Mac G5s I work with had an unexpected near-death experience caused by a coolant leak, the story is told in this micro-documentary: http://kino-eye.com/2007/04/07/mac-coolant-leak/

I have only ever seen one other liquid cooled G5, along with the one in the video and the one the technician mentioned that's three that I'm now aware of. The same thing happened to the one I knew about. Thats' 100% failure rate on my small sampling.
I'm guessing there's a major design flaw here and you shouldn't need Apple Care to have these computers replaced.
I'm guessing they realized it wasn't an efficient design, as none of the macs in post revisions used liquid cooling.

[...] none of the macs in post revisions used liquid cooling. In theory liquid cooling can be more effective than air cooling, witness the use of liquid cooling in most cars. Turns out that the Intel processors that Apple is currently using in the Mac Pros are easier to cool using air cooling techniques, but I would not be surprized to see the return of liquid cooling in the future, as the density of chips go up, so does the cooling challenge.

What i dont get is why the mac Laptops, dont have air vents/fans...... they get CRAZY hot. That cant be good for the internals. At least this one is cooled.
