Hi Everyone,
I'm looking to get an HV20 for use in my new green screen studio. I have a G5 quad with an intensity card and would like to capture through the HDMI port directly from the camera. Would this allow me to capture true 24P as well or am I still stuck with the pulldown?

Cheers,
Jeremy

Stuck with pulldown, but you'll have an uncompressed 4:2:2 signal to work with, which you can capture to Blackmagic's online JPEG codec (12-14 MBs) as well as DVCPRO HD, etc.

When you have an intraframe codec acquisition, it's a lot easier to remove pulldown.

Cineform will probably come up with something cool to deal with this.

They already have, but it won't work with G5's as I understand it. Only Intel Macs in the future. Already works with Premiere Pro on the PC.
