Hey guys -
Anybody have any luck/experience using an inexpensive teleprompter with the DVX-100a? I hav a shoot coming up with a business owner that will be sharing a message and instead of relying on his memory, I was hoping to line up some sort of teleprompter/method.
thanks in adavance!

"Inexpensive" and "teleprompter" go together about as well as "jumbo shrimp." :) For a one-off like this, your best bet might be to rent.
There's also the question of how well your talent is going to be able to read from it--I've had bad luck with people who've never used one before trying to use it for the first time. Time permitting, a practice run or two might be a good idea.

Give this link a try:
http://www.movieclip.biz/prompt/
It's free software that will run on a laptop (Mac and Windows vers.).
I have used it a few times with no problems.
