I recently downloaded a trial version of Raylight to see how it might be able to help out with our workflow. I presently shoot clips and download the MXF data from the P2 unto my PC. I then upload the files for my associate to retrieve. He then brings them into FCP for export to a Quicktime file. The reason why I downloaded the Raylight is because I need to do some work at my end when we start to get into green screen shoots.
I did a test by taking the converted MXF file and adding a background. I then Then used Raymaker to convert it back into an MXF format. When my associated downloaded the file, something weird happened. He was able to see it and even play it back on FCP. However, when he tried to export it as a Quicktime file to be read in Quicktime Pro, he was unable to do it. Anyone know why?
