In FCP what Sequence setting is suited when I shoot 480i/24P? I tried many and thought DV/NTSC Anamorphic would be correct but I still had to render the sequence.

thanks,

cja

I haven't tried it -- but just looking at FCP:

If you recorded in 480i/24p with DV or DVCPRO codec you should use "DV-NTSC 24p (23.98)" for 2:3 pulldown removal.
If you recorded in 24pA then you'd need the same thing except at the end it says "Advanced Pulldown Removal".
And if you recorded in 480i/24p with DVCPRO50 codec you'd need the "DV50" setup and you might have to customize the pulldown removal.

If you shot in 480i/24P and wanted to keep the pulldown ...I would think DV-NTSC would do it. Better verify the codec and aspect ratio.

Good luck!

And, if you did shoot DVCPRO-50 24pA on P2 cards, you can in FCP 5.1.2 check
"remove advanced pulldown and duplicate frames".
This will bring your clips in as 23.98 fps ready to edit in DVCPRO-50 24p sequence.
If you shot DV 24pA on tape then you will need a trip to Cinema Tools to reverse the
pulldown.....

Try in Log & Capture:
DV NTSC 48 kHz Advanced (2:3:3:2) Pulldown Removal
