How do ya attach the shoulder strap on the DVX100B?

I just got my DVX100B yesterday. Been experimenting with it all day. Fantastic.

But for the the life of me, I can't seem to work out how to attach the front end of the shoulder strap. Personally I can't see how its even strapable.

Is it just me?

if you are staring at the front of the cam, the loop for shouler strap is just to the left of the mic. right next to onboard adapter piece of metal.. let me know if you cant find it.

ive seent eh dvx manula before, its on the front couple of pages...

Oh no I found it. Heck I've been staring at it for last 3 hours. But the slot is in a really awkward position, standing upright right next to the adaptor piece of metal. The strap wouldn't through it. It goes as far as the gap between the metal thingy and the loop, but doesn't go any further.
