Hey all, Im brand new to the forum, looking to gather some valuable insight on the DVX-Im new to the community, trying to make a jump from working in TV News to at some point hopefully shooting my own things and producing. With that in mind, Ive come across a DVX for sale that Im interested in purchasing to start my own shooting with-But wanted to get some advice on how good of a deal it is...In my own research, it seems to be a pretty good deal....Ill list the specs:

PANASONIC DVX-100A PERFECT CONDITION ONLY 4 HOURS USE.
-PELICAN HARD CASE
-REMOTE
-CHARGER
-3 BATTERIES
-4 NEW TAPES
-SHOTGUN MIC
-2 EXTRA LENSES: 1 TELEPHOTO AND 1 WIDE ANGLE LENS & LENS FILTER

All for $3200.00

Excuse me for being "that guy" who stormed into the board with a bunch of info-Just looking to get some advice from those who might have some better insight!!!

You can get the newer DVX100B model brand new from a reputable dealer for $2900 after the current rebate. For another $200 you can get two extra DVXuser batteries.

The extra lenses you may or may not need depending on what you are shooting. You don't mention what brand they are. If they are Century Optics lenses, then that's a good package. If they are cheap lenses, it's not so good at all.

Im going to try and negotiate down to about 2800-We'll see what happens.....It's not HD, but of course that debate rages on and on it seems, from what Ive heard from most folks.......
