Portable DVD-player > Monitor

Hi all, is it a good idea to use a good portable dvd-player as a monitor together with the DVX-100BE? This is the portable I want to buy: AKAI EPV6210X, with a A/V in and out. Any comments? Thanks !

Your answer means: the camera's 3.5-inch LCD color monitor is good enough? I was told a monitor is needed for better results...?
