Hello,
I experimented briefly today w/ the FS-100(v3.0)and the frame rate hack-2fps/350 degree shutter.
It does indeed record it and play back, no problem. I also toggled between recording the 2fps(normal recording on the FS) and time-lapse, 6 second intervals using the FS's intervalometer.
So I'm trying to determine what goes on when I shoot time-lapse w/ the FS's built in option-
I'm not sure it's making a difference what the frame rate the camera is set to(?)Before i start the intervalometer(in this case 6 sec intervls) I have the option to set the camera to say: 24, 12, and the new rates below 12(2,3,4,6,8,10). Looking through the LCD (before recording)we can clearly see a difference between these rates, and of course use different shutter settings...
Still wondering then, what fraction am I getting when shooting time-lapse through the FS-100-is it indeed 1fps(?)
The 2 fps/350 degree shutter (recorded on normal FS-100 setting) and to P2 cards yields approximately 1/2 sec exposure, so perhaps single frame on the FS-100 w/ 350 degree shutter is close to 1 second? It would be nice to be able to get much longer shutter times(I've used 6 second shutter setting and longer on my Nikon D200 for extreme streaking/blurr-
I'll shoot some more tomorrow and keep comparing/analizing the results-
Any more input greatly appreciated-
Best,
