2006 High School Swimming Montage

This is a video I made for my capstone project in school. This is just one of hopefully 4 or 5 videos I will be making for my capstone. I am hoping to make a short diabetes video, a skiing video, and possibly a lacross montage as well, but I still haven't thought about the others as of yet. This video is made from pictures and video from my 2006 high school swim team. I hope you all like it and leave any comments you may have. - Tristan

cool on different video techniques that you have learned (I am a big swimming fan so I clicked on your link) Here is a little constructive criticism: the big scrolling segment of photos didn't work for me, perhaps try and fade in and out in a cool way and highlight sections. The music was cool but didn't really fit, he was rapping about people dying and you were showing fun swimming footage. Try and get more shots of people celebrating and cheering, perhaps get several shots of people starting and finishing from the same spot and cut them quickly together. Real tight shots of people swimming would be cool too, turn the OIS on and go for it.

thanks for the comment... yea i agree with you on the different types of shots, but i didn't actually film any of it because i was swimming most of the time and hanging out with the team... in fact i didn't even know it was being filmed until my dad showed me when we got home... unfortunatly my dad filmed it like it was a family home video and then the stills were all from a teacher whose daughter is on the team and she wanted me to get everyone in the video, so i did the scroll thing... i did what i could with what i had the best i could, but all your ideas would have worked great i agree. thanks again and hopefully i'll get a better one together for the skiing/lacrosse videos.
