i was clicking around the forums and i noticed that there is some speuclation that a dx100c is coming out in april?
i havent seen anyone really confirm it but if its true im going to feel dumb if i buy a dvx100b now when a new one is coming out in two weeks...
i need some advice.
a: By a dvx100b now becasue i am currently without a camera since i sold my 2100
or
b: wait a few more weeks and potentially pass up some deals to get a b and get a c for more money....
does anyone know if the c will be any difernt other than the 16:9 jazz?
i really dont know what to do....
there probably won't be one coming out in a couple of weeks. Even if announced, it might be months before you could get one.
I would like to get a DVX myself, but I think they are overpriced. I will wait till after the rebate and see what happens. The Canon A1 is priced really good right now. The A1 is around $3250 after the rebate, the DVX100b $2800 something. (B&H prices).

I'm looking to buy the DVX also but I think it's kind of expensive with the current price. Hopefully with the introduction of the Canon HV20, the price will go under $2000, which I think is reasonable :happy:

yea im in the process of getting a used one from a local giuy i know, the only reason i hesitated was becasue i dont want to get one then a new one come out and then ill just be pissed haha
but yea, i doubt theyll spring it up out of hte blue like apple does with computers...
im just going to get a 100b and worse comes to worse ill sell it and upgrade

Zipper you won't be disappointed with the 100B. I got mine used last December and it really shines.

the dvx100b is an amazing camera despite if there is a new version released. Like mentioned above if it was just announced then it will probably be a while before its out. I would recomend the 100b no matter what, that camera is amazing
Wow I can't wait for the DVX100C anouncement on the 1st of April.
I hear it will feature native 16:9 1/2" CCDs like the JVC 5000 series ;) ;) ;)
Seriously, I don't know what people are talking about when they say that the DVX is expensive. It is actually cheaper than any of the other comparable cameras out there including the PD170 & XL2.
C'mon guys!! The DVX is this century's bargain and shoots the best looking 24P in it's range!!
