Was thinking about picking up a few photo gigs on the side just for the hell of it...whether it leads to work, who knows - although I really don't want to buy photo gear AND video gear too LOL.

In any event, I have some somewhat shabby photos at http://www.psynema.com/photo so far all I've shot are rehearsals/shower type deals...and that was a year ago - actually got rid of the camera I shot these with since it wasn't all that great (evolt 300 with the onboard flash, diffused - not a great selection of lenses btw - stuck with the stock lens which is horrible and has ghosting issues...). Let me know what you think and if anyone has any Video to photo on the side entry stories let me know, in addition to "bang for buck" must haves for photo.

I don't think you should call a thread "How bad are these photos", especially when the pics in question are good ones!

Those colors are amazing! I dunno what you workflow is, but some of those food shots are awesome. My only complaint would be that they are not very large (though my wife assures me this is no big deal), but I'm sure the originals are even better.

Good work.

Thanks...yeah it's software and it allows you to see them full res, but they were huge and half of a pic took up the full monitor screen - plus I'm just too lazy to shrink every single photo as of now LOL.

THanks for the compliments - some are iffy to me - the camera's stock lens did have ghosting issues on closer inspection - have to get a new camera...just don't want to shell out big bucks for the time being - just got a Canon XH a1, and buying another DSLR, with a REAL lens, and a REAL flash (I used the built in flash, with a ghetto frost gel and sharpie ink covering the bulb to prevent hot spots) is just too much for now - thinking of getting a decent 35mm SLR and a good lens to save a few hundred
