Output display info over firewire

Is it possible to view all the camera lcd/viewfinder display info when monitoring on a laptop?

I am using DV Rack 2 with my HVX connected via firewire and would like to be able to see all the iris, focus, WB, etc. info on the DV Rack monitor display.

Yes, it's possible, but do understand that DV Rack would also record the OSD information, since it records exactly what the camera sends.

Page 112 of the manual shows you how you can enable this in the DISPLAY SETUP menu.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, your suggestion is not working. I have followed all the instructions on p. 112 of the manual, and all of the instructions on pages 114 & 115 of the manual that cover the 1394 settings. There is no combination of these settings that is allowing me to view the onscreen info over my firewire connection to DV Rack. I don't care about the recording problem you mention because I am only using the laptop to monitor - not record.

Has anyone out there successfully gotten this setup to work?

Anyone have an answer to this?

I can not get OSD info to display over firewire. It does display if I connect to a monitor over s-video. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
