I just found this blog, Strobist (http://strobist.blogspot.com/) and it's pretty awesome. I don't shoot stills (though I'd like to start) but he's got some great techniques that work for video too, a series of how-to photography posts, and every project he does he posts a progression of pics, a breakdown and usually a little bit of a good story. Like I said I'm not a photographer, but I can spot a good picture and Strobist has got 'em. I figured this post would be most relevant in this section of DVXuser, even though I don't come in here much...

i posted a link a while back but no one left any comments... i love the site, as a photographer it has such useful information on lighting especially for beginners or anyone looking to learn some new tricks. All with simple flashes/umbrellas and some carboard snoots.
