It's on the Canon website, although I couldn't get the link to work.

I found it also available here for a direct link:

to get the link on the canon site to work. you need to disable the "block popups" thingy in your browser... because it pops up

Or if youre in mac land download linked file. Worked for me.

EDIT: First thing I checked is the manual controls and readings. Manual, focus, exposure, shutter speed and white balance. Looks like these are going to sell like hotcakes, yet with other consumer cams coming with SD recording, maybe the humble consumer will go that way, people not concerned with 24p or manual options.

Thanks for the link BG.

Since the link posted above is broken - and I'm tired of seeing all of the 404 Not Found errors in the Web server log files :( - I thought that I'd pop in here and suggest that anyone needing a Canon HV10/HV20/HV30/HV40 manual (NTSC or PAL) go to http://www.humanvalues.net/hdv/ and click on the "Documentation Index" link.

There you'll find a collection of (currently) 1346 PDF files, including brochures and manuals for most all HDV, AVCHD, and XDCAM EX products from Canon, JVC, Panasonic, and Sony.

The majority of the PDFs are in the English language but there are a number of Chinese (both Simplified and Traditional) and Japanese language files as well as a few other languages. All are clearly indicated in the filename.

Aside from HDV, AVCHD, and XDCAM EX, there are also some brochures and manuals for XDCAM HD, XDCAM HD422, HDCAM SR, AVCCAM and AVC-Intra, along with some DVCAM and HDCAM products. P2 HD products are fairly well covered.

There are also some standards documents for ISO/IEC MPEG-4 Part 10 AVC, MPEG-4 AAC, ITU-T Rec. H.264, various whitepapers, etc.

Thank you.

Frank.
