Hey everyone,

Here's a film I shot on S16mm exclusively for FOX's "On The Lot" competition. I was the DP/Operator. For anyone who wants to check it out (and please vote/comment if you can):

I loved this for 5:30 of it's 5:45 length... the last 15 seconds were a gigantic disappointment to me. Talk about highs and lows. Great acting throughout (extremely rare for amateur productions), excellent direction, nice dp work. Good mood, good sound effects. Highly interesting story... until the about 15 seconds before the end. What a flat, disappointing, extremely, extremely, extremely predictable ending. It's as if someone told you a story, or joke with a fantastic set up/build up - but with a horribly disappointing reveal/punch line. So much good work that was wasted in the last 15 seconds. A lot of A+, A+, A+ and then an F at the end.

The good news is that the director has talent, but he really should set higher standards for his story resolutions. This seems as if he grabbed the first thing that came to his (and everybody elses!) mind.
