Because of the glass and other accessories I have from my old Minolta Maxxum 7000, when I buy a digital SLR, I want to get the A100. I was quite disappointed to find that it does not contain time lapse ability. But, it does have a remote shutter connector. So what I'm going to do is build my own time lapse device for it. I'm wondering if anyone has or knows where I can find, the schematic of at least the remote connector pins?
Thanks, Larry

Does it have an infrared port? Then check out the LT100 from www.pclix.com it just doesent get any simpler.
If you decide to order one, remember to get the infrared optical cable as well. Gives you more freedom because you dont have to put the device in front of the camera. you can just lead the cable to the front of the infrared port.
check out this guy as well http://wvs.topleftpixel.com/archives/photos_landscape/060828_1662.shtml
He uses the pclix for his ART

I'm not sure if Sony works with this. It may.
It says it does =)
I've had success with a Canon TC-80N3 and my Minolta 7D. It appears the interface would be the same on the Sony A100. There are several instructions online describing how to build a conversion cable...none of which worked for me. I resorted to a multimeter analysis of both devices before I got the darned thing to work.
The Canon timer unit is very nice - small and compact with 90% of the features I wanted. Its only flaw is that it only works with those wonderful Canon cameras.
PM me if you purchase the Canon timer unit and would like me to describe the conversion. If it works for you as well, I'd be happy to post those same instructions on this thread.
