Newbie question: Slow motion

I use premiere 1.5 all the time. And to slow down a clip I can simply right click it and go the speed duration settings and change 100 to 50 if i want it have speed.

I just started using Afect affects. I drop in my clip into my composition on the bottom. How in the word do I slow down the clip in AE? It can't be that hard, but i'm obviosuly missing something! I'm embarassed to even ask this question after I even read the AE help!

In the timeline if you right click on the layer you want choose

time->shift time from the popup menu. Then you can put in a percentage (eg. 200% to make the clip last twice as long -- and go half as fast).
