We've got some players (guys AND girls) but still need more!
I'm organizing a few teams to play some in-line roller(blade) hockey in the North Hollywood area. This is super amateur goofball stuff as most players have little to no experience (most can barely even skate)! We're just looking for people who want to have some fun, maybe play a game every weekend or two.
So we are looking for 4 players per team. 3 skaters and 1 goalie on each side. Guys and girls welcome! If you've never played and are thinking of trying, do it! Shout at me and we'll connect!
If you don't have ANY equipment, here is an estimated breakdown of the costs involved:
$100-$200 for decent in-line skates. Remember, if you buy the $35 K-Mart cheapies, your feet will suffer the consequences.
Upwards of $50-$75 for pads, mouthguard and stick. Helmet or facemask ($50-$75) optional.
When you are picking out a stick for purchase, look for street hockey-designed sticks that go up to approximately your shoulder.
