They changed the format of IMDb.
http://www.imdb.com/help/show_leaf?redesignfaq
Redesigning the name and title pages is the first phase in an overall site redesign that will take place in measured, incremental steps. We've learned much by observing the way users navigate the site, and by noting what users see (and don't see) on a given page.
The goal of the name and title page redesign was to find ways to surface as much data as possible, with user observations informing and guiding the actual redesign. The FAQs below outline some of the specific findings in our user testing and also answer general questions you may have regarding the design layout.
Finally, the redesign aims to place us in a better position to utilize some of the current and future technological advancements that will enhance and enrich the user experience. We hope to continue to hone and refine these pages on a regular basis based on the current and changing needs of you, our users.
AGH! It's so frustrating! Yes, with time, I'll get used to the new sleek IMDb, and yes, this isn't such a big deal, but I don't like the change.
It's been freaking me out as well.
Though it is a cleaner design and more functional- like when DVXuser changed. It'll just take some time to adjust.

I don't notice much of a change, other than it's cleaned up some ... more like the Pro version access, which I find a worthwhile investment for only $12/month.

I HATE IT! I'm on the IMDb all the time, so when I saw the layout change last week...lets just say it really scared me, lol. I'm still not fully used to it yet.

Thanks for this. I was starting to wonder was it just me or is the new design really better. After looking at it, yep, the new design is truly better.

You're welcome.... I mean, I didn't expect to see this thread resurrected (if you look at the first post it's pretty old). I'm glad to see it did some good. Even if it was to confirm the newer one is better, it did some good.

I made a mistake, I wanted to say the new design is better but maybe subconciously I thought the old design was better. Gotta admit navigation is 100% better and it's not nearly as clunky.

Finally somebody has said something about it.
I thought Norbit was one of the funniest comedies of last/this year.
Rasputia Latimore... how can she not be my avatar?

Are you serious? You've had that thing for nearly a week and that was the first comment on it?
