So today I recieved what i thought was one Canon 514 XL, but when i opened the box, I was pleasently surprised. There were 2 of these beautiful super8's. Now, i'm just wondering if anyone knows where to see a manual or instructions?

Or, if anyone has this and knows how to use it well, you could just tell the instructions to me in this thread, throught PM's, or on msn or aim or email(da_rip_2000@hotmail.com is my msn/email, darip2000 is my aim screenname).

Thanks alot!

Hey,
I'm happy for you:) , I also have this camera, but still didn't shoot nothing with it...
Here is the manual http://www.geocities.com/motorcity/garage/1997/canon/canon_514xl-s.html

I will give you later a link with some footage from someone I know that also has this camera, he shot it with Kodak Vision2 200T, it's on YouTube and at the moment they are down.

You need to know that you can not use the Kodak Ektachrome 64T, the camera will underexpose the film. You should use the negative stocks, the 200T and 500T. but use the 500T only in low light conditions because the camera don't know to deal with 500 ASA and only in low light conditions it won't be metter because anyway the camera will choose the the maximum exposure (I don't know if it's really right, I didn't try it, but that sounds reasonable).

Hope what I said was helpful :) (and wait for the link I promised)
