Audio Render Problems

I'm having trouble rendering out some audio in my project. The project renders fine when the audio button isn't checked in my Output Module Settings. When I try to render it out with the audio checked it seems to be processing but never really does. The full project is about 1:00. I tried rendering out just 2 seconds, same deal. The audio I am using in the project is a .aif file. Is there a preference that I don't have clicked that might be the problem? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Is the speaker icon on in the timeline?

OK one more lame question. What are you exporting? Uncompressed AVI's?

I am rending a Quicktime movie. Compression type is animation, best quality, full rez.
