I think Southern CA works. It sort of emcompasses everything from Antelope Valley (where Tim lives and I think Brandon too, but I might be wrong), to LA, the Inland Empire and Down into Irvine (and, of course, Newport Beach...)

There is usually a lot of open spots at the pier lot but with the weather this hot and the 3-day weekend, it will be busy. If you park a block or two north, you might get free parking.

Yeah, that place was crazy and there was no way we were going to be able to find any one in there if any of you guys were there.

Those we found, Tim and Blaine and Tommy later on, we just hung out near the pier which was pretty cool. Great day to be outside by the beach, especially with the nice views around there.

I can't believe the anticipation by which I read this entire thread. Each twist, each turn. The hope that I would be able to attend this gala event only to realize halfway through that the date had now passed.

But then a ray of hope...a silver thead in the dark, dark cloud that is my life...IT WENT POORLY!!! Hooray for me, the unfaithful board checker in desperate need of some networking time as only this past Sunday I was calling my contact list to cover a last minute job and none of my staff were free. Such is the life.

So, that BJ's is cool. Not huge...directly surrounded only by metered parking. It will be good weather at one of the most popular beaches in the world. I'm so down if I don't have to work...but i'm just sayin. Do you guys really need to be near the beach. I guess you could make a reservation.
