OK, so I might be missing something here, but I was doing some test shots.
Here is the SETUP:
HVX at 720/24p - connected to a 23" HDTV with the component output.
FS-100 v3 at 720/24pn
Here is the PROBLEM:
After recording to the FS-100,
1. I switch the camera to VCR mode,
2. turn off the Thumbnail View, and
3. press play on the FS-100.
The FS-100 shows that the clips are being played, yet there is no image on the HDTV. There is however an image on the camera LCD.
I've checked the cables and everything is ok. (when I go back to camera record mode, the image shows up on the hdtv)
I've been able to do the same setup and substitute the component cable with the S-Video cable, and it does show the clips playing. So the FS-100 is playing video.
Any one have this problem???
In hindsight, the only thing I can think is that the HVX can't output the input digitally from the FS-100 set at PN (native) recording to the component cable but it can to the s-video output. I didn't think at the time to record in regular 24P rather than 24PN and see if that worked.
