P2 Cards and AVID

having trouble importing P2 clips from an external hard drive into the Avid.

avid version is Xpress Pro HD version 5.2.4

seems to only work if importing footage directly from P2 Card or Camera.

any suggestions???

What workflow are you following? Are you copying the MXF files to the "Avid MediaFiles/MXF/1" folder on the root level of your media drive?

no. i was simply doing the load media directories thing that you can find on the Avid website. i was just taking the files off of the external, assuming it would make copies in the OMF folder on the media drive.

so your saying to copy the actual MXF files to that OMF folder? what about the audio?
